Meeting Description:
In June 2025, it will be 20 years since the first edition of the
Word-Formation Theories conference, which mapped the state of the art
in the field in combination with the publication of Štekauer & Lieber
(eds.) 2005, Handbook of Word-Formation (Dordrecht: Springer). The
subsequent period witnessed a dynamic development of word-formation
theories, both in breadth and depth. Therefore, the central topic of
the 2025 conference will be the developments in word-formation
theories in recent decades.
Call for Papers:
The central topic of the Word-Formation Theories VII / Typology and
Universals in Word-Formation VI conference will be the developments in
word-formation theories and typological research into word-formation
in recent decades. Abstracts of up to 300 words, covering any aspect
of this broadly defined topic, should be sent via e-mail to
pavel.stekauer at upjs.sk.
In addition to the general session, the Conference will also include
three workshops:
