Call for Papers:
It is our great pleasure to announce the publication of our new issue
containing a wonderful, rich, and original article by Martina
Wiltschko
(UPF), entitled 'Emotions do not enter grammar because they are
constructed (by grammar)'. The article is everything that we hope that
contributions to the journal can be: it addresses a profound
theoretical topic, takes a firm stand, but also attempts to reach
across the aisle,
and takes a cross-disciplinary approach to language. It also makes
quite a few bold claims that invite debate. It can be viewed here:
https://journals.helsinki.fi/lud/article/view/2362
We hereby invite scholars to submit discussion notes in response to
the focus article the issue features. Notes accepted for publication
after
peer review will be published in the same issue within a year from the
original publication date. The author of the focus article will then
close the issue with a response to the published notes.
ABOUT THE JOURNAL: Language Under Discussion is an open-access
peer-reviewed journal (OASPA accredited), devoted to promoting
open-minded debate on central questions in the study of language, from
all relevant disciplinary and theoretical perspectives. For more
information, please see:
