Abstract:

As a result of the identification of a new language belonging to the
Tyrrhenian language family, Rhaetic, in the last 30 years and the
focus on the three languages of this language family in several
publications, a renewed interest in the relationships between the
peoples of central and northern Italy and the northern Aegean has
arisen and been analysed anew. In this anthology, authors from various
disciplines present their views on the Tyrrhenian question:
Linguistics, palaeoanthropology, archaeology and historical studies
offer a new scenario for the relations between the three peoples and
languages, with consequences for the history of Palaeo-Europe.
