Meeting Description:
The Graduate Association of German Language Students (GAGLS) at the
University of Texas at Austin is happy to announce our 10th Biennial
Graduate Student Conference. Thie topic this year is German(ic)
Diasporas: Exploring German Studies Beyond Europe. Our keynote speaker
is Dr. Gwyndolen J. Ortner from the University of Cape Town, South
Africa. Her research is in Second Language Acquistion with a focus on
exploring blended learning and collocations in the German as a foreign
language classroom. The conference will take place on April 19th and
include only presentations from graduate students with accepted
abstracts. This fully graduate student run conference is a great first
experience for students that have yet to present at a conference and
it is a good opportunity to network with other graduate students.
Please apply if interested, our topic allows for a lot of areas of
research! If you don't think you are eligible but want to apply,
contact us and we would be happy to answer any questions. Abstracts
are due March 1st, use the link attached to submit your abstract.

History / Studies, German History / Studies, Immigration & Migration
History / Studies, Linguistics, Literature
