Description:
The ACTE lab is hiring a full time post-doctoral researcher for two to
three years to work on a project on (unexpected) bilingualism in
autistic children, led by Mikhail Kissine. The project focuses on
children who acquire foreign languages that are not used for
communication around them. The post-doc position involves coordinating
international surveys in different languages, collecting and analysing
speech data from young autistic children and liaising with partner
clinical diagnostic centres. The successful applicant should have a
PhD in linguistics, speech therapy or psychology, and a strong
research record in at least one of these areas: clinical linguistics,
phonetics, study of bilingualism, psycholinguistics or child language.
Previous experience in autism and proficiency in French are not
mandatory, but would be a strong asset. The monthly net salary is +/-
3000 €, along with full health benefits. The successful applicant will
have access to all the facilities of the ACTE lab, as well has to
research budget, including funds for attending conferences. The start
date is flexible but should not be later than September 2024.
