Meeting Description:
The Lisbon Baby Lab of the Center of Linguistics of the University of
Lisbon is pleased to announce the 6th edition of the Workshop on
Infant Language Development (WILD). The overarching goal of WILD is to
bring together scientists with different perspectives and
methodological approaches to the study of early language and cognitive
development, and all those interested in infant language development.
The meeting will be held between June 19-21, 2024, in Lisbon,
Portugal.
WILD 2024 will be preceded by a satellite event on June 18 to
celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Lisbon Baby Lab, followed by a
welcome reception to all attending WILD.
The Keynote speakers for WILD 2024 are:

Psycholinguistique, ENS, EHESS, CNRS, PSL University)
Gert Westermann (Lancaster University)
Reiko Mazuka (RIKEN Brain Science Institute & Duke University)
Thierry Nazzi (Integrative Neuroscience and Cognition Center, CNRS,
Université de Paris)

Second Call for Papers:
WILD 2024, the 6th Workshop on Infant Language Development, will take
place in Lisbon from June 19 to 21, 2024.
WILD has been created to highlight recent research on a wide range of
topics within monolingual and bilingual development, including speech
perception and production; word learning; the development of
phonology, syntax, morphology, and pragmatics; brain mechanisms and
first language acquisition; recent advances in infant brain imaging
techniques (i.e., EEG, MEG, NIRS); atypical language development;
language and cognition; early bilingualism; multilingual development;
the role of culture in language development; gestures and non-verbal
communication in infants and toddlers; the acquisition of sign
language.
Our keynote speakers are:

Reiko Mazuka
Thierry Nazzi
We invite submissions on any aspect of infant language development.
The deadline for abstract submission is January 29, 2024.
