Call for Papers:

Sociolinguistica: European Journal of Sociolinguistics is a
peer-reviewed journal comprising two issues per year and covering a
broad range of topics related to individual and societal language use,
the social conditions of language use and the impact of language on
social structures. Building on the 35-year strong history of
Sociolinguistica: International Yearbook of European Sociolinguistics,
it seeks to spearhead debates on the future of macrosociolinguistics
in contexts worldwide, and now welcomes free submissions and proposals
for themed issues in English, especially those aiming to thicken
intersections with other fields in the social sciences and humanities.
Alongside research articles of a more traditional format, it is also
open to alternative forms of scholarly writing (e.g. academic
reflections on current trends, policy papers, opinion pieces, research
reports, interviews with leading figures).

Possible topics include:

• language and identity/religion/ethnicity/nationalism
• language and (neo)colonialism/de-colonisation
• language politics, policy and planning
• language contact and conflict
• languages maintenance, shift and revitalisation
• language rights and linguistic justice
• language and migration/integration

publication, please visit the journal’s website at:
