Subject: Pulse Question (July 2024) from BAAL's Research Synthesis in Applied Linguistics Special Interest Group

The Research Synthesis in Applied Linguistics SIG of the British
Association for Applied Linguistics has a new section in our monthly
newsletter to SIG members, where we ask our members ONE question about
research synthesis to get a sense of its state-of-play in Applied
Linguistics. We would also like to involve the rest of the Applied
Linguistics community in this.

We would appreciate it if you can take 5 seconds of your time to
respond to this question and share this link with the postgraduate
students and academic staff at your department. We will be sharing the
results with you via email and use them to inform the development of
the SIG. By "research synthesis", we mean a literature review with an
explicit methodology section (see Chong and Plonsky, 2023, for some
examples).
