Subject: Attracting CogSci students to linguistics

Hello all,

I recently started teaching "Intro to Linguistics" to first year
undergrad CogSci students.

The main goal of the course is to get these (excellent) students
really excited about linguistic so that they choose to combine
linguistics with their CogSci major.

To this end, I'm looking for exciting studies that clearly show the
relevance of linguistics to CogSci.

I would very much appreciate your suggestions for research I can
present to very smart and curious students with
little-to-no-background knowledge in linguistics.

Thanks in advance for your help!
Aviya
