Focus: Career development, management, and exploration for linguists
seeking employment outside academia. General Registration includes
events providing broad career guidance and exploration, including:

- Workshops on career management topics like resume writing, using
LinkedIn, building relationships with people who can help you in your
career, and finding job opportunities
- Workshops on skills like generative AI and taxonomy
- Career panels with linguists representing a wide variety of
organizations and sectors
- Networking and office hours opportunities with career linguists

Two courses are offered in addition to regular programming:

Document Design: This course covers design of content plus Usability
101 and Accessibility Basics. Document design is the practice of
structuring text, images and other elements so that the message of the
document is conveyed, and the reader can easily accomplish any action
or instruction required.

Career Discernment: Learn how to demonstrate how your unique set of
skills – from critical thinking to cross-cultural competency – make
