Description:
The research centre CRC 1646 “ Linguistic Creativity in Communication”
offers a PhD position in the project A01 “Creativity in
(morpho)syntactic variation: The role of analogy” (PIs: András Bárány
& Jutta M. Hartmann). A01 investigates the role of analogy in the
formation of novel, creative morphological forms and syntactic
structures both within and across languages considering long-distance
agreement in Hungarian, as well as embedded clauses in German and
other languages.
The task of the PhD student is to do scientific research in project
A01 concentrating on long-distance phenomena. This work ideally is
part of the PhD thesis. The prospective PhD student is required to
present project results at national and international conferences and
to contribute to project publication. Additionally, collaboration
within the CRC, active participation in the qualification program of
the graduate school of the CRC and participation in the SFB
organisation and self- administration is expected.
