Meeting Description:

Areal Linguistics and Areal Typology have drawn increasing attention
in recent years. To further promote research in these fields, the
Department of Chinese Language and Literature (Key Disciplines at the
Provincial Level), Changshu Institute of Technology (CIoT) will house
the 2024 Workshop on Areal Linguistics & Areal Typology (AL&AT at CIoT)
on Donghu Campus, CIoT, from November 30 to December 1, 2024.

Call for Papers:

We invite submissions on topics including, but not limited to:

(a)     Surveys or descriptions of areal phenomena in phonetics,
morphology, syntax, etc.
(b)     Theoretical studies of areal phenomena within the frameworks
of areal linguistics or areal typology
(c)     Correlations among various areal phenomena
(d)     Cross-areal studies of theoretical aspects and beyond
(e)     Other related issues

Please note that there is no registration fee. However, participants
are responsible for their own transportation and accommodation. The
workshop will be conducted in a hybrid format, both online and
offline.

Participants are encouraged to submit their abstracts (within a single
page) in English or Chinese to stephen-liu at 163.com no later than
August 20, 2024, for the attention of Dr LIU Jun.
