Call for Papers:

We are pleased to inform you that the 2nd Symposium on Language
Education and Research (SLER2025) will take place in a face-to-face
format in Thessaloniki, Greece on February 22nd and 23rd, 2025. The
conference will entail two full days of sessions on cutting edge
issues related to Language Education and Research. There are also many
opportunities for networking and socialising with our colleagues.

The theme of the 2nd Symposium on Language Education and Research is:
Pathway to progress: Teaching Innovation and Inspiration Interchange
and its subthemes: Emerging technologies, best practices in innovative
methodologies, curriculum and materials design and development,
language assessment.

The call for proposals is now open.

We are diligently working on bringing the most knowledgeable
researchers and educators from all over the world, as well as leaders
in the industry to explore important topics such as

Innovation in Language Teaching, Second Language Acquisition,
Bilingualism/Trilingualism, Evolution in Language Variation, History
and Development of ELT, Language Awareness, Phonology, ELT
Methodology, Assessment, Learning Technologies, Teaching Business
English, Teaching EAP, Teaching ESP, Teacher Training Education,
Teaching Young Learners, Teacher Development, Research in Language
Teaching, Discourse analysis, Corpus Linguistics, Applied Linguistics.

This 2nd Symposium on Language Education and Research promises
opportunities for the continuous development of educators,
academicians and researchers. The conference will involve ministry
people, EFL teachers, academicians, researchers and students from
Greece and around the world.

This year we intend to have an even more interactional mode throughout
the day so that the audience is given plenty of time to interact

and share their context.

The format is fluid to meet the expectations of the presenters and
delegates. We welcome the formats as listed below:


Papers: 30 minutes (incl. a 10-minute discussion

Workshops: 45 minutes (incl. a 10 minute discussion)

Poster presentations


Paper submission deadline:   October 15th, 2024

The organising committee welcomes contributions from researchers,
practitioners and teacher trainers.

Each speaker will have the opportunity to present one paper. Accepted
presentations will also be considered for publication in the Journal
of Applied Languages and Linguistics (ISSN 2585-2426 (Print), ISSN
2623-3533 (Online)) indexed in the Global Index for Continuing
Resources)

Please send your abstracts (max 80 words) and summaries (max 200
words) to

at the state-of-the-art building of the  Aristotle University Research
