CLUP – the Centre for Linguistics of the University of Porto, a
research and development (R&D) unit funded by FCT – the Portuguese
Foundation for Science and Technology, welcomes applications to
individual research grants Marie Skłodowska-Curie (MSCA) -
Postdoctoral Fellowships call. The application deadline is 11
September 2024.

CLUP, as host institution, welcomes applications in both types of
individual fellowships: European Fellowships and Global Fellowships.
The European Postdoctoral Fellowships are intended for researchers
wishing to conduct their research in Europe, or for European
researchers moving within Europe (for projects between 1 and 2 years).
Global Postdoctoral Fellowships are aimed for researchers moving to
countries outside the EU and Horizon Europe Associated Countries (for
projects between 2 and 3 years, of which the first 1 to 2 years will
be spent in a non-associated Third Country, followed by a mandatory
return phase of 1 year to an organisation based in an EU Member State
or Horizon Europe Associated Country).

CLUP is able to host research and development projects in any one (or
more) of the language sciences areas researched by its team members.
In particular, the R&D unit welcomes research and development projects
that promote: (a) theoretical and applied knowledge in language
sciences; and (b) the development of innovative methodologies in
language sciences.

Requirements:
Applicants: (i) may be of any nationality, but must hold a PhD (at the
time of application); (ii) must have post-doctoral experience of up to
8 years (unless this experience has been interrupted due to any of the
reasons described in the Programme regulations); (iii) cannot have
resided in Portugal (host country) for more than 12 months (in period
of 36 months preceding the application deadline). In the case of the
Global Fellowships, researchers must be nationals (or long-term
residents) of a Member State of the European Union or an Associated
Country.

Applying to CLUP:
To apply to CLUP, the applicants should address a request to the
Scientific Coordinator of CLUP. They should indicate which of the
fellowships they intend to apply to and which line(s) of research
conducted in CLUP their project fits in. The following documents
should be provided:

aims and objectives, methodology, expected results and impact);
- Up-to-date Curriculum Vitae;
- Copy of two relevant publications;
