The 11th meeting of Linguistics Beyond and Within – International
Linguistics Conference in Lublin, organised by the Institute of
Linguistics at the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin, Poland,
will be held on 17–18 October 2024. This year, the talks will be
guided by the following leitmotif:

EXPLORING THE SPECTRUM OF LINGUISTIC INQUIRY: THEORETICAL, APPLIED AND
HISTORICAL PERSPECTIVES

As previously, we would like to invite scholars with innovative
approaches to linguistics viewed from a range of intra- and
interdisciplinary perspectives. We wish to encourage all linguists
representing various theoretical models and practical applications to
present their contributions during live oral sessions, with each paper
presentation scheduled for a 20-minute talk followed by a 10-minute
discussion. The language of the conference is English.

LIST OF TOPICS:
• theoretical linguistics: syntax, morphology, semantics, phonetics,
phonology, corpus studies;
• applied linguistics: language teaching & language acquisition,
pragmatics, discourse analysis, translation studies, sociolinguistics
psycholinguistics

CALL FOR HISTORICAL LINGUISTICS WORKSHOP CONTRIBUTIONS
This year, we are pleased to announce the addition of a new section to
our conference programme which is dedicated to historical descriptions
of the English language. We warmly invite scholarly contributions
exploring linguistic analyses of Old, Middle, and (Early) Modern

anchored in its historical context.
