Throughout this workshop we're looking to build stronger connections
within our community of lecturers, educators, and students, and to
approach the study of bilingualism in a way that directly relates to
real-world experiences.

We invited scholars, researchers, educators, and community advocates
from the greater Los Angeles metro area, with contributions from
various departments at UCLA, USC, and Pomona College.

As lecturers, we are always seeking opportunities to enhance our
professional network and enrich our educational environment on campus.

This drive led my colleague and I to secure a grant specifically for
organizing this event. We're excited about creating a space that
encourages academic growth and directly benefits both our teaching and
our students' learning.
In the spirit of this workshop, we are particularly keen to explore
the themes you are working on, such as contact linguistics and
approaches to bilingualism in the ancient languages.

Key Features of the Workshop:

– Engagement with current research and applied approaches in
bilingualism.
– Contributions from a diverse group of speakers, including local
community representatives.
– Opportunities for attendees to gain new perspectives and integrate
innovative methods into their work.
– Networking across disciplines, encouraging connections and
collaborations.
