Subject: Language Attrition Network Reading Group: November Meeting
The Language Attrition Network invites you to our next session on the
25th of November at 4pm CET (3pm UK time) in Zoom.
Sepideh Javdani Esfahani (TU Chemnitz University, Germany) will be
discussing her study (see abstract below) entitled “Language Attrition
in Immigrants”.
Abstract:
The study “Language Attrition in Immigrants” evaluates English
non-native speakers who have already been immersed in an environment
where they predominantly communicate in their L3 and their L2 exposure
is markedly reduced, may be affected by the new atmosphere, and
undergo language attrition in comprehending reversal sentences.
Additionally, the study considers language proximity as a variable.
You will receive the Zoom link for the meeting a couple of days before
the date through the mailing list. If you are not yet on the list,
please drop us an e-mail: attrition.network at gmail.com
Looking forward to seeing you all there.
