Focus: The program provides a variety of one-week courses covering
numerous subfields and methods in linguistics, such as:
psycholinguistics, phonetics and phonology, experimental syntax,
computational semantics, language acquisition, pragmatics,
dialectology, historical linguistics, sociohistorical linguistics, and
statistics.

The courses are taught by: Sergio Miguel Pereira Soares (Max Planck
Institute), Sarah Bernolet and Rianne van Lieburg (University of
Antwerp), Esti Blanco-Elorietta (NYU), Amalia Arvaniti (Radboud
University), Gert-Jan Schoenmakers (Utrecht University), Meaghan
Fowlie (ILS), Mena Lafkioui (CNRS/EHESS), Mark Dingemanse (Radboud
University), Petra Schumacher (University of Cologne), Rajend Mesthrie
(University of Cape Town), Dan Dediu (University of Barcelona), and
Tara Struik (University of Mannheim)
Minimum Education Level: RM (if at a Dutch institute) or PhD candidate

Description:
The LOT Winter School 2025 will be organised by LOT in collaboration
with the Radboud University (Nijmegen) and will take place from 13 to
24 January, 2025.

The LOT Winter School offer two types of courses: 1. RM1 courses
specifically designed for first-year Research Master (RM) students
from participating institutes, and 2. Regular courses, which are open
to second-year RM students and PhD students from around the globe.
Each course lasts one week (Monday to Friday), and regular courses are
taught during both weeks.

The programme offers a wide variety of relevant topics in linguistics,
taught by national and international researchers. The levels of the
courses range from introductory (RM1 courses) to intermediate and
advanced (regular courses).
