Meeting Description:
The aim of the conference is to present the latest findings on
manifestations of intercultural communication and transmission in
ancient Anatolia, and to provide a platform for their discussion.
The intensive research of recent years has greatly increased our
knowledge of cultural, intellectual, and linguistic developments and
contacts in ancient Anatolia and adjacent regions, and the study of
interactions and exchanges in the region has made considerable
advances. We invite talks on ancient Anatolia with a focus on
interconnectivity and communication; identity- formation;
self-respresentation and outside perception; or transfer of cultural
and intellectual knowledge. We welcome contributions focussed on
intra-Anatolian as well as supranational contacts with neighbouring
cultures of the 2nd and 1st millennium BC.
