Meeting Description:
The Organizing Committee of the 42nd AESLA Conference is delighted to

the AESLA Conference. The conference will be held from 2nd – 4th
April, 2025 in Palma, hosted by the Department of Spanish, Modern and
Classical philology at the Universitat de les Illes Balears (UIB).
The chosen theme of the conference is Transforming Language
Acquisition and Communication in a Multilingual and Digitally-Mediated
World. It highlights the importance of comprehensively exploring the
challenges and opportunities presented by the multilingual and

social and educational implications of these changes, with the goal of
overcoming linguistic and communicative challenges in an increasingly
interconnected and technologically advanced environment. We encourage
you to actively participate not only in the academic sessions
(presentations, plenary talks, etc.) but also in the social and
cultural activities, which offer valuable opportunities for networking
and collaboration with colleagues from around the world.
We look forward to welcoming you to Palma for a productive and
enriching experience!
