Meeting Description:

We invite you to join leading scholars and fellow researchers in
in-depth discussions of the latest theoretical, empirical, and
methodological dimensions of L2 writing and feedback research carried
out from both SLA and multimodality perspectives.

The aim of this third edition of the UMU Research Seminar is to bring
together experts in the field to take stock of the latest theoretical,
methodological, and empirical developments, and advance future
research agendas.


CALL FOR PAPERS

The Call for Papers for the L2 Writing Research Seminar 2025 is open!

The conference will take place in Murcia, Spain, from May 22-24, 2025,
under the theme: "L2 Writing and Feedback Research: SLA and
Multimodality Perspectives."

We warmly invite you to submit your research proposals on the latest
theoretical, empirical, and methodological dimensions of L2 writing
and feedback. This year, we particularly welcome contributions that
incorporate Second Language Acquisition (SLA) and multimodality
perspectives.

PROGRAM

On Days 1 (Thursday, May 22) and 2 (Friday, May 23), state-of-the-art,
position papers and empirical studies will be presented and discussed
in a series of colloquia (see list of invited speakers below).

On Day 3 (Saturday, May 24), papers submitted to the Open Call for
Papers will be featured in parallel sessions. Participants are invited
to present proposals with original research on the Seminar themes,
including empirical studies.
