Call for Papers:

Proposals for papers would be most welcome for volume 23 (2026) of ESP
Across Cultures (https://edipuglia.it/rivista/espacrosscultures/).

The deadline for submitting an abstract of 250-300 words is 31
December 2024, with delivery of the completed paper by 30 April 2025.

Abstracts, papers and enquiries regarding the volume should be sent by
email to the editors Christopher Williams at
christopher.williams at unifg.it and to Denise Milizia at
denise.milizia at uniba.it.

We are pleased to announce that ESP Across Cultures has been accepted
in SCOPUS.
Italy’s National Agency for the Evaluation of Universities and
Research (ANVUR) has awarded ESP Across Cultures with a CLASS A
rating, the highest ranking available.

ESP Across Cultures is freely accessible online at
https://edipuglia.it/esp-across-cultures-open-access/.

Since there is no charge for online access, the costs of running the
journal will be borne by the contributors themselves. Contributors
will be asked to pay a fee for their contribution to be published only
if it is deemed worthy of publication by the referees following the
double-blind reviewing process.

Payment will range between a minimum of 210 euros (for countries with
the lowest GDP) and a maximum of 300 euros, on the basis of the GDP
ranking of the country of affiliation according to the Global Finance
website
(https://gfmag.com/data/economic-data/poorest-country-in-the-world/)
as follows:
  Country ranking 1st to 50th (i.e. from position 190 to 141 in the
web link provided above): 300 euros
  Country ranking 51st to 100th (i.e. from position 140 to 91): 270
euros
  Country ranking 101st to 150th (i.e. from position 90 to 41): 240
euros
  Country ranking from 151st onwards (i.e. from position 40 to 1): 210
euros.

In the case of a paper written by two or more contributors coming from
different affiliations, only the ranking of the country with the lower
GDP will be taken into consideration. Payment is to be made per
contribution irrespective of the number of contributors. In other
words, a single-authored contribution and a co-authored contribution
have the same cost. Naturally, no charge will be made for any
contribution that is not considered worthy of publication.
