Meeting Description:

We are happy to invite you to ICAME46 conference, which will take
place at Vilnius University (Vilnius, Lithuania) on 17‐21 June 2025.
ICAME46 will be organised by the Department of English Philology at
the Institute of English, Romance and Classical Studies, Faculty of
Philology.

The conference theme is “Per Corpora ad Astra: Exploring the Past,
Mapping the Future”. We invite all submissions on corpus-based
approaches to English, and especially abstracts addressing the theme
of the conference. The call for abstracts closes on 1 December 2024.
Notification of acceptance will be sent out in February 2025.

The academic programme will consist of full papers, work‐in‐progress
reports, software demonstrations, poster sessions and invited
keynotes. There will also be a call for pre‐conference workshops. The
social programme will include a welcome evening reception, a boat
trip, and the gala dinner.

 • Rūta Petrauskaitė (Vytautas Magnus University)
 • Lukas Sönning (Universität Bamberg)

Call for Papers:

Abstracts should be between 400 and 500 words (excluding references)
and should clearly state research question(s), approach, data, method,
and (expected) results. Authors may submit a maximum of two abstracts
if at least one paper is co‐authored.

Anonymised submissions should be sent to conference organisers at this
email: icame46 at flf.vu.lt

‐ Full paper: 20 + 10 mins discussion
‐ Short paper/Work‐in‐progress report: 10 + 5 mins discussion
‐ Software demonstration: 20 + 10 mins discussion
‐ Poster: on display for the duration of the conference. Maximum A0
size (portrait).

Pre‐conference workshops
We also invite proposals for pre‐conference workshops on Tuesday, 17
June 2025. If you would like to convene a workshop (full or half day),
please send your proposal by 1 December 2024 directly to the
organisers at icame46 at flf.vu.lt .

The proposal should contain the title of the workshop, name and
contact details of the organisers and of the proposed participants,
and a short description of the topics to be discussed (between 400 and
700 words, excluding references).
If the workshop is accepted, workshop conveners will be responsible
for putting the individual abstracts together, including peer
reviewing. This should be completed and notified to the conference
organisers before 15 January 2025.

Bursaries
John Sinclair Bursary, 300 EUR to the best paper by an early‐career
ICAMEr;
Stig Johansson Bursary, 150 EUR to the best poster presentation.
An early-career ICAMEr is a doctoral student, who has not yet
completed their doctoral studies before the conference, or a postdoc.
A postdoc should have defended their PhD not earlier than three years
before the year of the conference.
Eligible candidates should indicate in the abstract the bursary they
opt for.
