Subject: Pulse Question (October 2024) from BAAL's Research Synthesis in Applied Linguistics Special Interest Group
The Research Synthesis in Applied Linguistics SIG of the British
Association for Applied Linguistics (BAAL)
(https://researchsynthesis.weebly.com/) has a new section in our
monthly newsletter to SIG members, where we ask our members ONE
question about research synthesis to get a sense of its state-of-play
in Applied Linguistics. We would also like to involve the rest of the
applied linguistics community in this.
We would appreciate it if you can take 5 seconds of your time to
respond to this question:
https://us18.list-manage.com/survey?u=ec41c521c8ade5b418c979fc8&id=a74

By "research synthesis", we mean a literature review with an explicit
methodology section (see Chong and Plonsky, 2023: https://www.degruyte
r.com/document/doi/10.1515/applirev-2022-0189/html?lang=en, for some
examples).
