Description:

The successful candidate will have a clear program of research within
computational linguistics which makes contact with language theory
and/or cognitive science of language. They will have a record of
high-quality publications and research-related activity commensurate
with the stage of their academic career.

The Department of Linguistics seeks to train the next generation of
linguists who are comfortable integrating computational approaches
into their research, and to offer our undergraduate students
development in skills that are applicable in the information/data
industries. Thus the expectations for the role will include advising
masters and doctoral students; and contributing to the departmental
teaching in natural language processing, and computational
linguistics.
