UCLA Linguistics Department: Faculty Position in Psycholinguistics
(tenure-track)

The UCLA Department of Linguistics seeks to fill a tenure-track
faculty position, starting July 1, 2025, in psycholinguistics, with
specializations in language processing, first language acquisition,
neurolinguistics, and/or computational psycholinguistics. The
department seeks candidates with a record of experimental research
that productively engages with formal linguistic theory.

A Ph.D. is required before the date of hire. Candidates are expected
to have developed a strong research portfolio and demonstrate
outstanding teaching potential. We anticipate making an appointment at
the Assistant Professor level. The posted UC salary scales set the
minimum pay determined by rank and/or step at appointment. The salary
range for this position is $78,200-$96,400. “Off-scale salaries” and
other components of pay, i.e., a salary that is higher than the
published system-wide salary at the designated rank and step, are
offered when necessary to meet competitive conditions. See campus
