Description:
The Department of Humanities and Cultural Studies, Institute of

Lecturer (m/f/d), EG 13 TV-H, permanent, full-time (currently 40 hours

or
(Senior) post-doc position with teaching duties (m/f/d), A 13 HBesG,
permanent, full-time (currently 41 hours per week)
We are committed to the close integration of empiricism, theory and
practice and focus on the psycholinguistically based, empirical
investigation of learning and teaching processes of English as a
foreign language in contexts of second or third language acquisition,
taking into account cognitive factors and the development of
evidence-based implications for the teaching of English as a foreign
language.
We are looking for an academically proven personality with an
outstanding international profile with practical and academic
expertise.
This position focuses on the psycholinguistically based, empirical
investigation of English language learning and teaching processes,
particularly in contexts of second or third language acquisition. Key
research areas include cognitive approaches to grammar learning and
teaching, comprehension processes in code-switching, and addressing
attention and learning difficulties in foreign language acquisition.
The role combines considerable teaching responsibilities, particularly
in teacher training courses, with active participation in research
that bridges theory, empiricism, and practice.
