Call for Papers:
The journal Languages is pleased to announce a Special Issue focused
on gradience in syntax and semantics, with the aim of promoting
intersectional linguistics research bridging formal grammar and
experimental research on gradience (Culicover et al., 2022;
Christensen and Nyvad 2024; Fanselow et al. 2006; Francis, 2021; Lau
et al., 2017; Müller, et al. 2022; Villata & Tabor, 2022; Wasow, 2002,
Yano 2024).
https://www.mdpi.com/journal/languages/special_issues/M6W51J89LJ
Submissions from theoretical, corpus, and experimental linguistics
which are clearly focused on gradient phenomena are welcome. We
request that, prior to submitting a manuscript, interested authors
initially submit a proposed title and an abstract of 200 words
summarizing their intended contribution. Please send it to the guest
editors (Rui Chaves rchaves at buffalo.edu or Elaine Francis
ejfranci at purdue.edu) or to Languages editorial office
(languages at mdpi.com).
Abstracts will be reviewed by the guest editors for the purposes of
ensuring proper fit within the scope of the special issue. Full
manuscripts will undergo double-blind peer-review. The Linguistics
journal is Open Access and authors retain copyright over their work.
