Host Institution: University of Lille
Coordinating Institution: CNRS
Website: https://llcd2025.sciencesconf.org/resource/page/id/9
Dates: 03-Sep-2025 - 05-Sep-2025
Location: Lille, France
Minimum Education Level: early-career researchers (PhD students,
postdocs)
Focus: This intensive training program offers in-depth reflection on
two fundamental pillars of linguistic research, namely (i) the
rigorous construction of theoretical research questions and (ii) the
informed selection of empirical methods to investigate linguistic
data.
Guided by renowned experts, the summer school will cover a wide range
of fields, including:
- Theoretical linguistics & history of linguistic ideas
- Corpus linguistics & data processing
- Cognitive linguistics, multimodality & language acquisition
- Experimental linguistics & methodology
By integrating insights from theoretical, empirical, experimental, and
cognitive approaches, the Summer School offers participants a broad
and critical perspective on linguistic methods and concepts. The goal
is to provide intellectual and methodological tools to support and
structure participants’ research in a stimulating, interdisciplinary,
and collaborative learning environment.
The sessions will be led by renowned researchers specializing in
complementary fields:
- Jean-Michel Fortis – CNRS HTL, Paris, France
- Gaëtanelle Gilquin – UCLouvain, Belgium
- Fanny Meunier – CNRS BCL, Nice, France
- Cornelia Müller – European University Viadrina, Germany
