Swahili or Yoruba / Intermediate-Advanced

Synchronous, virtual classes run for four hours a day, Monday through
Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. (CDT) with an hour break scheduled at
11:00 a.m. Intermediate students earn eight UW-Madison college credits
for the two semesters, and advanced students earn six credits. All
students earn two transcript letter grades.

intermediate-advanced level this summer!
Program Dates: June 16-August 8, 2025
- Accelerated virtual courses for real-world communication skills.
- Two semesters of academic language study in 8 weeks!
- Open to undergrads, grad students, and adult learners nationwide.
- Professional development + intercultural workshops included.
- Funding available!
Tuition: $5,000
Tuition Explanation: The maximum cost of tuition for the full 8-week
program is $5,000—and it may be lower for current UW–Madison students
and residents of Wisconsin or Minnesota. Foreign Language & Area
Studies (FLAS) Fellowships and WISLI Tuition Scholarships are
available.
