The required degree must be completed by the start date.
Experience:
Experience teaching Spanish at the university level and performing
scholarly research. Fluency in written and spoken Spanish and English
is also required.
Duties/Expectations:
The successful candidate will be expected to:
1. Teach six courses per year. These include service courses that are
required for a variety of department programs (including majors and
minors) as well as more specialized course in the candidate's area of
specialization. The latter include MA-level offerings.
2. Advise undergraduate and graduate students, including them in
mentored research initiatives.
3. Maintain a robust research agenda which should result in regular
publications in respected venues.
4. Lend service to the college, university, and profession at large,
as well as contribute actively to the life of the department.
