It is with great enthusiasm and pleasure that we invite you to the
upcoming 7th edition of the conference Dialectal Syntax in Westernmost
Europe.
WEDiSyn is an international series conceived as a research network
bringing together scholars studying syntactic variation in the
dialects, i.e. the geographic varieties of the languages of
westernmost Europe. The primary aim of this research network is to
facilitate the exchange of the latest developments and ongoing
research in the field of (morpho-)syntactic dialectology. This
includes discussions on:
1. Specific dialectal morpho-syntax phenomena
2. The fine-tuning of linguistic theories through the use of dialect
data
3. Dialect and language contact
4. New tools and methodologies for studying dialects (e.g., new
advances in dialectometry)
