Deadline for Submissions: September 21 (11:59 pm KST)
The 2025 Fall Joint Conference of the Jungang English Language and
Literature Association of Korea (JELLA) and the Joongwon Linguistic
Society of Korea (JWL) will take place on October 24, 2025 (Korean
Standard Time) at Halla University, South Korea. The conference will
be held in a hybrid format: on-site, via pre-recorded YouTube clips,
or through Zoom.
Submission Guidelines
The organizing committee invites submissions of abstracts for
20-minute oral presentations, followed by a five-minute discussion
session. Abstracts should be no longer than two single-spaced pages
and may cover any topics within the fields of English literature,
linguistics, and language education. All submissions must be
anonymous, present original research, and not have been published
elsewhere. Abstracts can be written in either English or Korean and
should be submitted as PDF files via EasyChair. Authors are encouraged
to follow the steps below to submit their abstracts:
1.      Please log in at:
https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=the2025jointconferen
2.      If you do not have an EasyChair account, create an account by
clicking on “Sign Up for an Account” and completing the registration
form.
3.      Click on “New Submission” at the top of the page.
4.      Select the “Corresponding Author” checkbox for all authors who
wish to receive email correspondence or notifications.
5.      Enter your manuscript title in the “Title” field.
6.      Provide at least three keywords relevant to your abstract
7.      Upload your abstract as a PDF file in the “Abstract” field.
Only PDF files are accepted.
8.      Click “Submit” to complete your submission.
In your abstract, please state your preferred form of presentation:
on-site, YouTube clip, or Zoom.
Deadline
Abstracts are due by September 21, 2025, 11:59 pm (KST). Notification
of acceptance will be sent out no later than October 3, 2025.
