world. The School is committed to disciplinary excellence and
interdisciplinary innovation, with a particular focus on Digital
Humanities, Medical Humanities, Environmental Humanities and the study
of Global Asia. It is part of NTU Singapore’s College of Humanities,
Arts and Social Sciences (CoHASS), whose students and scholars

understand how people in Asia and beyond act in and make sense of a
rapidly-changing, technological world. CoHASS is Asia’ s leading
centre for innovative, interdisciplinary Humanities, Arts and Social
Science research.
The Language and Communication Centre (LCC) in SoH offers
communication courses to undergraduate and graduate students across
the university, particularly in the disciplines of engineering, the
humanities, sciences, and social sciences.
The School of Humanities seeks to fill one Lecturer position in LCC.
Candidates who have the following qualifications are encouraged to
apply:
 - PhD in Applied Linguistics, English for Academic
Purposes, Linguistics, Education, Literature, or Rhetoric and
Composition
 - Degrees in the Sciences and Engineering will be considered if the
candidate can show evidence of research in disciplinary
communication skills
 - Experience in teaching academic and/or discipline-specific writing
 - Interest in new media and digital literacy is a plus
 - An active research agenda
Successful candidates will be expected to teach academic writing and
communication skills, and to conduct research.
