The Institute for Lexicology of the HUN-REN Hungarian Research Centre
for Linguistics is pleased to organize the 1st International
Conference on Lexicology and Lexicography.
The Institute for Lexicology of HUN-REN Hungarian Research Centre for
Linguistics organizes the 1st International Conference on Lexicology
and Lexicography. The conference aims to bring together researchers
worldwide with different scientific backgrounds but shared interests
in lexicography and lexicology. We welcome researchers who approach
lexicology and lexicography from both a theoretical and practical
perspective, as well as from the perspective of technological
innovations and/or language resources.

Sven Tarp (Aarhus University, Denmark)
Ana Salgado (Academia das Ciências de Lisboa & CLUNL – Centro de
Linguística da Universidade NOVA de Lisboa, Portugal)
Iztok Kosem (University of Ljubljana, Slovenia)
Submissions are invited on the topic of lexicology and lexicography
(both theoretical and applied perspectives) including but not limited
to the following fields:
- Monolingual and bilingual dictionaries
- Lexicology, lexicography, and language technologies
- Historical lexicography
- Specialized dictionaries (e.g., sign language, dialect
dictionaries)
- Terminology and lexicography
- Constructions
- Collocations and phraseology
- Corpora and lexicography
- Methodological innovations and language resources
- Application of dictionaries (e.g., educational applications,
onomastics)
- Research in dictionary use
Types of contribution:
You can submit your proposal for:
- oral presentation (20 min + 10 min for Q&A)
- poster presentation (to be presented in the dedicated poster
session)
Oral and poster presentations can only be delivered in person.
Each proposal will be reviewed anonymously by a minimum of 2
reviewers.
THE EXTENDED DEADLINE FOR ABSTRACT SUBMISSION IS 28 FEBRUARY 2025.
Abstracts (maximum 300 words, excluding references, tables, and
figures) should be submitted via OpenReview
(https://openreview.net/group?id=LexiKonf/2025/Conference#tab-recent-activity).
Please register for OpenReview using your institutional email address.
Abstracts should be anonymous.
Authors will be notified of the acceptance by 17 April 2025.
The language of the conference, including the language of abstracts,
presentations, and posters is English.
