Call for Papers:
The Department of Linguistics of the Faculty of Letters within the
University of Bucharest, in partnership with Bucharest University
Press, is pleased to announce the launch of a new academic journal,
Theoretical and Applied Linguistics at ro (TAL at ro). The aim of the
journal is to facilitate interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary
linguistic research by providing a new platform for dialogue between
Romanian and international researchers.
TAL at ro will be published yearly in an online open access format. The
journal welcomes original research papers from all linguistic fields
(e.g., phonetics, morphosyntax, lexicology, historical linguistics,
pragmatics, etc.), with a special emphasis on research at the
interface, as well as didactic approaches to linguistic disciplines.
Moreover, it will feature reviews of recent scientific publications.
Submissions are accepted in Romanian, English, and French and will
undergo a double-blind peer review process, in accordance with
international publishing standards.
Editorial board: Andra Vasilescu (Editor-in-Chief), Bianca Alecu
(Editorial Secretary), Claudia Ene, Carmen Mîrzea Vasile, Cristian
Moroianu, Isabela Nedelcu, Irina Nicula Paraschiv, and Monica
Vasileanu. The editors aim to comply with all standards in the field
for indexing the journal in ERIH Plus as soon as possible.

Deadline for article/review submission: June 15, 2025
Publication of the first issue: November 2025
