Encuentro de Gramática Generativa (EGG) is a scientific conference
held since 2001 to provide a forum for discussion and exchange that
fosters the development of generative grammar. On this occasion, we
honor Professor Daniel Romero, whose pivotal influence on the
advancement of generative grammar in Argentina—even under very
challenging conditions—has been fundamental.
The ninth edition of the EGG will take place in person on August 6, 7,
and 8 at the Facultad de Filosofía y Letras (UBA) in Buenos Aires,
Argentina. We are pleased to host researchers Tonjes Veenstra (ZAS
Berlín), Daniel Romero (Universidad Nacional de La Plata), and Cintia
Carrió (Universidad Nacional del Litoral/CONICET).
This edition invites researchers interested in topics such as
linguistic variation, language contact, bilingualism, and the study of
indigenous languages, among others, to submit their original
contributions.
Submission of Abstracts
Abstracts must be anonymous and clearly outline the theoretical
framework, hypotheses, and objectives of the work.
Maximum length: 2 pages (A4 format), using 12-point Times New Roman,
single-spaced, in PDF format.
Submission link: https://forms.gle/LE6r1r1UQqEZJsgG7
Presentations will be in English, Spanish and Portuguese with 20
minutes allocated for the presentation and an additional 10 minutes
for questions.
The deadline for abstract submission is May 1, and notifications of
acceptance or rejection will be sent by the end of May. Registration
fees will be announced in the next circular.
