The English Philology Department of Korean International University
Fergana (KIUF) is accepting applications for a native English speaker
to serve as Assistant Professor. The start date is September 1. KIUF
is a relatively new university located in the beautiful Fergana Valley
region of Uzbekistan. A Master’s degree is required – in TESOL,
English, or English Literature. A PhD is preferred.
The ideal candidate will be a stable professional person who enjoys
learning about new cultures and is flexible. The work culture at KIUF
is professional yet relaxed. Good interpersonal relationships are
important here. Teachers have their own large offices with high-speed
Internet, computer, and printer. There is plenty of time between
classes to work on research and writing. Also, teachers can take
advantage of the on-site cafeteria that serves both Uzbek food and
Korean food.
Candidates with international work experience are much preferred.
