8th CAN-Asia Symposium on L2 Interaction

The Conversation Analysis Network in Asia will hold its 8th Symposium
on L2 Interaction  at Pusan National University in Busan, South Korea
10-11 May, 2025.
Please submit an abstract (200 to 300 words in English).
The deadline for submissions is February 10, 2025.
Each presentation will be allotted 20 minutes plus 10 minutes for
discussion. Presentations will be organized into blocks with a
roundtable discussion among the presenters and participants following
each block.
All presentations should be based on the micro-analysis of recorded
interaction in which at least one participant is using a second
language. In the past, most presentations have used Conversation
Analysis, but we are also open to hearing from researchers using other
discourse analytic approaches at the micro end of the scale.
Presentations will be in English and will be consecutive, not
parallel, so the total number of presentations will be limited.
Notification of acceptance will be made by the end of February, 2025.
