Invited speakers

Masaya Yoshida (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona)
Workshop description
The workshop brings together researchers using empirical methods to
investigate the structure and usage of ellipsis. Building on previous
editions of ECBAE, it will provide an opportunity to discuss (i) how
our understanding of the theory and usage of ellipsis can be informed
by empirical studies and (ii) how different empirical methods can be
improved or combined in the research on ellipsis.
We welcome contributions from any linguistic subfield, including, but
not limited to, syntax, semantics, pragmatics,
psycho/neurolinguistics, corpus linguistics, historical linguistics,
typology and computational linguistics, using any empirical method
(including corpus studies, acceptability rating, eye-tracking,
self-paced reading, neuroimaging or computational modeling).
