The Department of Linguistics and Cognitive Science at Pomona College
is hosting the Pomona Acquisition Workshop (PAW) 2025 on April 5,
2025. The purpose of the workshop is to bring together linguists in
Southern California who are working on language acquisition, including
first and second language acquisition, bilingualism, and heritage
language acquisition. This workshop is intended for junior faculty and
graduate students in particular, as an opportunity to showcase their
research and receive feedback from peers.
At this time we welcome submissions for both oral presentations and
posters. Junior scholars are encouraged to submit work in progress.
Please note that we will be limiting submissions to individuals in
Southern California.
Abstracts should be 500 words, including examples.
Please send abstracts directly to Ernesto.GutierrezTopete at pomona.edu.
Include in the body of your email the following information:
        your full name,
        your affiliation, and
        preferred mode: talk or poster (or either).
