Full Title: Teaching Languages and Cultures in the Post-Method Era:
Embracing Multiplicity (TLC 2025)

Date: 10-Oct-2025 - 11-Oct-2025
Location: Nis, Serbia
Web Site: https://tlcnis.weebly.com/

Linguistic Field(s): Applied Linguistics; Discipline of Linguistics

Faculty of Philsophy, University of Nis, Serbia
Meeting Description:
With humanities and the teaching profession worldwide under attack
from different undermining policies, and facing increasingly
unfavourable socio-political and economic circumstances, it is
essential that we strengthen our competencies and consolidate our
joint front of researchers, practitioners and teachers. Our conference
has proven to be an open forum for idea exchange and networking, and
we hope to continue that practice by bringing different perspectives
together once again.
Therefore, we invite researchers and teaching practitioners from
different areas to share their experience of and insights in teaching
and learning, and to discuss the challenges of teaching languages and
cultures in today’s world. The goal of TLC 2025 is to provide a
vibrant arena where these different questions can be addressed, and
new research findings and views exchanged.
Call for Papers:
Proposals are invited for individual (or co-authored) papers and
workshops on theoretical or applied aspects of foreign language
learning and teaching, including (but not limited to) teaching
methodologies, developing all language skills as well as
(intercultural) communicative competence, teaching literature,
assessing language and culture, translation, teacher training and
professional development, EMI and ESP, and language policies. We
encourage submissions that approach these topics from various
perspectives; we also welcome presentations on topics from any other
field or discipline related to or reflected in language and culture
teaching.
Abstract Submission Guidelines:
A 300-word abstract/workshop description should be uploaded via the
conference webpage (https://tlcnis.weebly.com/proposals.html/),
following the instructions given there. The information uploaded
should include: the full name, title, affiliation and contact e-mail
addresses of all the co- authors; paper title, up to 5 key words, and
the abstract text.
