Abstract:

Crafting Resources for Language Pedagogy in the Digital Era delves on
the significance of diversified multidisciplinary approach as the need
for 21st century language pedagogy. This volume which stemmed from a
webinar discusses the multifaced problems and loopholes that are
exposed in transition from the physical to the digital platform. The
different chapters in this volume address these challenges by adopting
a paradigm shift in language pedagogy. This book offers
multidisciplinary approaches that embrace digital technology,
appropriate content and harness trained facilitators from the
profession and industry so the essence of language education reaches
the learners embedded in diverse socio-economic backgrounds. It also
emphasizes on how digital curriculum of second/foreign language
pedagogy should take into account the learners' socio-demographic and
socio-psychological background as they significantly contribute to
their learning achievements in global context.
This book will be of great interest to academics, researchers,
language-trainers, applied linguists and post-graduate students in the
fields of language teaching and learning.
