Subject: What is "awe" in your native language?
We are a group of interdisciplinary scholars, located in Oxford, the
United Kingdom (Oxford Brookes University & the University of Oxford),
and we are running a cross-cultural project on the psychology of
"awe".
However, it struck us that "awe" does not appear readily translatable
into other languages, and that more information is needed about the
translation and the cross-cultural psychological construct of "awe"
across the world.
Therefore, we have now set up a survey through which we hope to
collect international responses regarding the translation of "awe"
into other languages. We also ask what connotations the translation
has, and in which contexts it works.
The survey takes about 15 minutes to complete, and hopefully should be
fun!
You can find the survey here:

We hope that through LinguistList we will be able to reach a variety
of languages.
Do get in touch if you have any questions.
