Subject: Studies in Second Language Acquisition - "SSLA Call for Replication Studies" (Jrnl)
Journal: Studies in Second Language Acquisition
Issue: SSLA Call for Replication Studies
Call Deadline: 01-Sep-2025
Studies in Second Language Acquisition (SSLA) recently published
Replication Studies in Second Language Acquisition, a special issue of
eleven high quality replication studies designed to revisit important
claims and influential results in the field of Second Language
Acquisition.
Given the journal’s long-standing commitment to replication, we seek
to build on this milestone by soliciting replications of studies with
open materials and/or data that the editorial board considers
important, impactful, and worthy of replication.
Prospective authors are invited to submit a short proposal of their
replication study (see below for recommended list of studies), which
will be reviewed by SSLA’s editorial board. Authors with strong
replication study proposals will be invited to conduct and submit
their replication study to SSLA. In this way, we seek to encourage
replication of important studies published in SSLA and re-affirm the
journal’s commitment to replication research.
