Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Faculty of Language and Literature,
Department German
Language and Linguistics seeks to fill the position of a researcher
(=Wissenschaftliche*r Mitarbeiter*in) – E 13 TV-L HU (Third-party
funding until 12/31/2027).
Field of duty
(a) collaboration in the DFG-funded research project A06 "Modeling
Register Variation across Languages” of SFB1412 “Register”;
(b) responsible management of a Yucatec Maya corpus;
(c) corpus studies and experimental studies on Yucatec Maya
(d) typological studies
(e) presentation and publication of research results.
We expect
(a) completed university studies (Master's, Magister, or comparable
degree) in General Linguistics or a related subject;
(b) knowledge of grammar theory and typology (especially in the area
of morpho-syntax and semantics);
(c) experience in corpus linguistic and experimental methods as well
as with current field research tools
(d) expertise in Mayan languages, especially Yucatec Maya
(e) very good command of English;
(f) very good command of German and/or Spanish desirable.
