CReaTING is an International Conference organized in the framework of
the "CC-TRANS, Creativity and Critical Thinking in Translation"
research project (GRE22-03A) by researchers of the University of
Alicante, Spain.
This call for papers is open to lecturers and researchers, as well as
early-career researchers and working professionals. Proposals can be
written either in Spanish or English and must be sent until 15
February 2025 (deadline extended until March 2, 2025) using the form
available on the project’s website:
https://web.ua.es/en/cctrans/creating-2025/submission-of-abstracts.html.
Proposals must include:
    abstract (300-400 words including title and keywords),
    affiliation,
    references (if any),
    short biographical note (max 50 words).
After the Conference, authors will be able to submit their full
manuscript for peer review by the International Scientific Committee.
All papers that pass this evaluation will be published as a monography
by a prestigious publishing house.
Topics of interest include:
    Translation and creative writing
    Translation and Interpretation as creative processes
    Creativity and machine translation
    Creativity and literary translation
    Creativity and specialized translation
    Creativity and interpreting
    Gender mainstreaming of creativity and critical thinking in
translation and interpreting
    Translation, transcreation and adaptation in multimodal contexts
    Creative approaches to research in translation and interpreting
    Creative thinking in the training of translators and interpreters
    Critical thinking in the training of translators and interpreters
    Critical thinking and problem-solving in translation and
interpretation
    Creative and critical thinking in translation and interpretation
Important dates
Submission of abstracts: until 15 February 2025 (extended until March
2, 2025)
Notification of acceptance: 1 April 2025
Early bird: until 1 June 2025
Standard registration: from 2 to 15 September 2025
