The Secretaría de Cultura del Estado (Chihuahua, Mexico), through the
Departmento de Culturas Étnicas y Diversidad is honored to invite you
to the Friends of the Uto-Aztecan Languages 2025, which will be held
October 1st - 3rd 2025, at the Nellie Campobello Auditorium in the
city of Hidalgo del Parral, Chihuahua.
To participate in this edition of Friends of the Uto-Aztecan languages
2025, it will be necessary to submit an abstract for evaluation. Your
abstract must meet the following criteria:
Abstract (300-word max.) must contain:
 - Presentation title
 - Your name
 - Institution
 - E-mail
 - References (5 max.)
Abstracts must be submitted as an attachment to utoaztecas at gmail.com
before April 30th 2025.
Group panel proposals (3-4 people) may be submitted after contacting
the organizers to let them know about your proposal.
Proposals regarding the Uto-Aztecan languages will be received under
the following approaches:
- Diachronic and synchronic studies
- Language contact
- Semantics
- Syntax
- Morphology
- Phonology
- Phonetics
- Language policies
- Related topics

CONVOCATORIA ABIERTA
La Secretaría de Cultura del Estado de Chihuahua, a través del
Departamento de Culturas Étnicas y Diversidad, tiene el honor de
invitarles al Taller de los Amigos de las Lenguas Yutoaztecas 2025,
que se llevará a cabo en el Auditorio Nellie Campobello en la ciudad
de Hidalgo del Parral, Chihuahua, del día 1 al 3 de octubre de 2025.
El resumen deberá tener una extensión máxima de 300 palabras y debe
constar de:
 - Título de la presentación
 - Nombre
 - Institución
 - Correo electrónico
 - Resumen
 - Un máximo de 5 referencias bibliográficas
Los resúmenes deberán enviarse al siguiente correo electrónico:
utoaztecas at gmail.com antes del día 30 de abril de 2025.
Se podrán proponer mesas temáticas conformadas por 3 o 4 integrantes.
Se recibirán propuestas en torno a las lenguas yutoaztecas bajo los
siguientes enfoques:
- Perspectiva diacrónica y sincrónica.
- Contacto de lenguas.
- Sintaxis.
- Morfología.
- Fonética.
- Fonología.
- Políticas lingüísticas.
- Otros temas relacionados.
