Qualifications: The Department of Foreign Languages & Literature at
National Sun Yat-sen University in Kaohsiung, Taiwan (R.O.C.), invites
applications for one to two full-time positions.
Successful applicants should:
1. have a Ph.D. in English Literature or Cultural Studies.
Qualified applicants whose areas of specialty can complement the
existing strengths of the department and/or expand our current
curricula (such as medical humanities, neuro humanities, cognitive
literary criticism, digital literary studies, literary theory, etc.)
are particularly welcome to apply.
2. have a Ph.D. in Linguistics or Applied Linguistics
Qualified applicants whose areas of specialty can complement the
existing strengths of the department and/or expand our current
curricula (such as computational linguistics, quantitative research,
phonology, studies in language teaching or language education, etc.)
are particularly welcome to apply.
3. have publications within the past five years in journals indexed in
SSCI (Social Sciences Citation Index), AHCI (Arts & Humanities
Citation Index), TSSCI (Taiwan Social Sciences Citation Index, or THCI
Core (Taiwan Humanities Citation Index Core)
