Description:

The Department of Linguistics at Georgetown University invites
applications for a two-year postdoctoral position in Applied
Linguistics. The appointment will begin in August 2025.
We seek an early career applied linguist with expertise in second
language learning, teaching, assessment, or technology-based
instruction, along with the use of quantitative or mixed
methodological approaches. The successful candidate should have strong
evidence or promise of research and publication and ideally a record
of successful teaching. Duties include teaching one course a semester,
mentoring graduate students, and serving on some departmental
committees. Participation in the intellectual life of the department
will likely include opportunities for advising and mentoring students
at all levels, involvement in reading groups and departmental events,
and research collaborations with students and faculty.
